ABOUT THE COURSE
The course offers a continuing education and training programme for engineers and technicians who are involved in planning, executing or supervising the fabrication and erection of specialist structural steelworks to qualify as certified structural steel supervisors (StS). The course is specially tailored for technical personnel working in the steel fabrication yards and on construction sites. Developers and design office personnel who aspire to acquire specialised knowledge in structural steelwork planning, design, specification, procurement, fabrication and erection would also find the course very useful.
StS PRACTISING CERTIFICATE ELIGIBILITY
Participants who meet the following requirements will attain the StS Practising Certificate upon completion of the course and passing of the written exam:
â O Level / N Level / ITE + 5 yearsâ working experience in the steel industry; or
â Engineers or Technicians possessing a Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structural/Building/Mechanical/Marine/Aeronautical engineering or National Certification Course on Supervision (NCCS) / National Building Qualification (NBQ) Level 3.

Important: Participants who do not meet the above requirements will not be able to attain the Structural Steel Supervisor Practising Certificate, only a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded, subject to compliance with the attendance policy. Should there be a withdrawal decision, all payments made will follow the standard cancellation and refund policy.
